The Perfect Commercial Sink for a Commercial Kitchen

Sinks are indispensable in a kitchen and even more so when it comes to commercial kitchens that are commercial-grade facilities licensed for food service providers. In most parts of the world local health departments dictate the minimum number of sinks required in a commercial kitchen.

Yet, the preference for a particular kind of commercial sink varies as per the need and function of the food service provider. At SH Traders there is a variety of stainless steel utility sinks available with differing designs and optional features.

The commercial sinks available at SH Traders include the MOP Compartment Sink, the SS Sink 1, 2 bowl and 3 bowl commercial sinks to help you select the one more convenient to use or better suited to your specific tasks.

One compartment sinks are used for washing produce, draining colanders, filling pots, thawing food, and other food prep tasks. These sinks can also be used for soaking dishes and other cleaning tasks, but only when they're not used for food prep. 2 compartment sinks are useful for thawing food, washing produce, scrapping/soaking dishes, or cleaning wares that don't require the three-sink method.

The 3-sink method of washing dishes mandated by most health departments requires a 3 compartment sink where one compartment is designated for washing, one for rinsing, and one for sanitizing. Most health departments require every restaurant to have a three-compartment sink, even when a commercial dishwasher is present.

Each of these sinks are formed from a single sheet, fused and polished creating a one-piece sanitary unit. All the exposed welds are grounded smooth and polished to blend with adjacent surfaces providing a satin finish. They are loved for their large radius on all corners both vertically and horizontally as well as its cleverly created creased and angled drain boards for easy drainage. Their galvanized legs are standard on all models and come with the convenience of adjustable ABS bullet feet.
